The State Health Systems Resource Centre Kerala (SHSRC-K) conducted a sensitization training and workshop for the health team of Wayanad district, including Medical officers, mid-level supervisors, and Health & Wellness Centre (SC-HWC) / Janakeeya Arogya Kendram (JAK) team members. The primary goal of the workshop was to facilitate the successful implementation of the ICMR research project CONVERTECH-HWCs in Wayanad.
Convergence and integration of programmes and leveraging technology for enabling healthcare teams for delivery of equitable, high-quality primary healthcare services through Health and wellness Centres (CONVERTECH-HWCs) is a multi-state implementation project under the National Health Research Priority Project spanning across 8 states, with Wayanad being the selected site from Kerala.
The four-day sensitization program was divided into two levels: 5 workshops at block-level for SC-HWC / JAK team members and supervisors and the second for all charge Medical officers and district-level officials. The workshops were led by Dr. V. Jithesh, Executive Director of SHSRC-K, who introduced the ICMR CONVERTECH-HWCs project and guided discussions on finalizing the proposed implementation model.
The block level workshops were inaugurated by Dr. Priya Senan, Dy. DMO(H) and Co-PI of the project. Dr. Dineesh P., DMO(Health) inaugurated the District level workshop. They also led the discussions an added their views about the project implementation.
